Adel and Joan started Adel’s Sewing Room together in 2014. Each brings a distinctive background and set of skills which helps them to meet the needs of the community. Adel immigrated from Egypt where he learned men’s tailoring from his father, and later ran a men’s tailoring shop. Joan learned from various seamstresses, crafts women and through her own experiences. They started by quilting together and later decided to put all their talents together into one shop.
They hope you also will discover that there is almost no sewing project or alteration they won’t take on. Hence their motto:
“If it can be sewn, we can do it.”
